Before
having a tour of the media depot on Monday during class time I did not even
know that the media depot was available for students to utilize. I have made
videos on my computer using Adobe’s Premiere Pro software but I learned from the
tour that I could make my videos even better using the technology and assets available
for use in the media depot. This blog post will discuss all of the assets and capabilities
I learned about during my tour of the media depot.
The first
thing that I noticed when I walked into the media depot was the Macs with the
full Adobe suites software as well as other video editing software installed.
Later on the tour I learned about several rooms in the media depot such as the
green screen room for allowing my videos to be given backgrounds of real and fictional
scenery, a recording room for placing sound bites into my videos and finally external
hard drives are available to use to save my videos for later presentation
during class if necessary.
The
resources in the media depot are going to be very beneficial for me while I am
creating my videos and I can’t wait to start working on my film for class as
well as other possible films that I will make for personal use such as
highlights of my upcoming spring break trip to Florida.
